White Gates Farm is an evolving small farm. Located on a tract of land in New Hampshire that our family purchased in 1982, this property hosted a stand of White Pine forest, a dark and dense sea of green. Now, close to thirty years later, it has been almost single-handedly transformed into a breathtaking view of working fields and greenhouses. We, along with our four grown children, are excited about the future of our farm and of our ability to feed our customers with quality meatsand produce for generations to come.We produce the highest quality beef, from our selected breed of cattle, Blonde D' Acquitaine. We also grow pastured-raised broiling chickens and pigsfor meat. Our vegetable and herb varieties are carefully selected and lovingly grown with organic methods
Living Green
At White Gates Farm, we believe in reducing our carbon footprint. To do our part, our family has opened partner businesses that support this concept. Each entity moves us one step closer to "closing the energy loop."
Our Town Biodiesel collects waste vegetable oil (W.V.O.) from local restaurants, and transforms this oil into biodiesel. The renewable energy source is then used to keep our farm running and the non-toxic fuel heats local homes, schools, and businesses. Please visitwww.ourtownbiodiesel.com for more information.
We're also excited about our brand new composting facility,Organic Matters, LLC. This innovative company collects and accepts delivery of high volume vegetable scraps and other organics and creates high quality compost which is then used not only on our own fields and gardens, but is marketed and distributed throughout the local community and beyond.
